Raving About Linda Trent Jewelry
Here I am raving about Linda Trent again! Can't help it—her jewelry is just so consistently lovely! The earrings at the following link are an example of pure beauty. With her masterful use of gemstones and wire wrapping finishes, her earrings are spectacularly unique and wonderful temptations to be sure. http://www.lindatrentjewelry.com/details.cgi?Number=1232&Price=58&PriceGold=64&Category=Earrings&Description=A%20carved%20jade%20flower%20tops%20a%20cascade%20of%20amazonite%20drops%20and%20a%20large%20polished%20new%20jade%20teardrop.%20earrings%20measure%20approximately%203%20inches.&Name=Etched%20Jade%20Cascade&Shipping=&Inventory=&Related=

Crazy About Jewelry
I have just finished reading "Crazy About Jewelry", The Expert Guide to Buying, Selling and Caring for Your Jewelry, the new book by Susan Eisen. Look for my review of this comprehensive jewelry guide on Fashion Jewelry and SPJ over this coming weekend.
Susan is an international jewelry expert, certified gemologist, fine jeweler, award-winning entrepreneur, and speaker based in El Paso, Texas where she owns two jewelry stores. With over 27 years experience as a fine jeweler, Susan's sage advice, tips and techniques for organizing, storing, and caring for your jewelry, and lively down to earth writing style makes "Crazy About Jewelry" an invaluable jewelry lover's companion.

New on SPJ
I have just added a Diamonds in the News RSS. Check it out from the sub-top menu for some interesting stories about diamonds. The site it links to has quite a learning centre as well.
Blogs
Seems like everyone has a blog these days and I will pass on any I find that features jewelry. Here's one to watch, http://www.funkyfinds.blogspot.com/
Etsy Finds
Hi Y'all!
Just poking around the wonderful Etsy and came across something I have never seen before, reverse carving on lucite. Check it these interesting pieces from G. Paul Studios http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=8738260

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year! I have been away from my usual post since the end of November and glad to be back in the swing of things again. Started looking at some great new designers the last couple of days and hope to be adding to our International Jewelry Designer/Artisan Directory soon.
Still not really ready to launch my own Silver Spirit Designs to the world at large. Working with so many wonderful jewelry designers does have its drawbacks when it comes to confidence. However, I am happy learning all that I can and when I am satisfied with my work watch out for a new gallery in our Designers Showcase. In the meantime, if you are a designer looking for some additional exposure through our growing website, please do drop me a line.
